Loung Ung Discussion and Lecture
Author and activist Loung Ung will be coming to the Keene State College campus on Tuesday, September. 7, 2010. Ung, a noted speaker, landmine activist, and writer, has written two memoirs about her and her family’s experiences during the Khmer Rouge regime, First They Killed My Father and Lucky Child. She will be holding an informal discussion/question & answer session from 2:00-3:00 on Tuesday, September 7 for students in the Mountain View Room, as well as a public lecture and book signing at 7:00 that evening in the Mable Brown Room. Her evening lecture is entitled, “First They Killed My Father” and is about her experiences as a young girl in the midst of genocide.
