We’ll drink in more than just some herbal teas. We’ll go much deeper looking at different healing modalities and remedies used in the Ashkenazi Jewish community. This will include a selection of herbs commonly used and recipes for how they might have been made. There will be information on hydrotherapy and clay poultices and more. To pull it all together, we’ll look at how someone in the shtetl may have dealt with colds and flus or an upset stomach. I will share traditional recipes and bring this into modern herbal practice while looking at the science behind these health choices.
