Temple Israel Portsmouth congregants and friends look forward to welcoming composer, multi-instrumentalist, and prayer leader Elana Arian as Artist-in-Residence for a very special Shabbat. One of the leading voices in contemporary Jewish music across the globe, Elana will join Rabba Kaya Stern-Kaufman for a musical Kabbalat Shabbat service in the historic sanctuary. After the service, attendees are invited to a community potluck dinner in the Levenson Social Hall. All are encouraged to bring a dairy / vegetarian / pareve dish to share.

Additional weekend programs on Saturday, November 11:
10:00 am Shabbat Morning Service, Elana Arian will co-lead with Rabba Kaya Stern-Kaufman. After the service, all are invited to a catered kiddush luncheon in the Social Hall.

7:00 pm: Concert and dessert. Register for concert tickets via the temple website calendar. Suggested ticket donation of $18 benefits the Temple Israel Music Fund, the primary sponsor of this event. Elana Arian’s visit was previously scheduled for 2022; prior ticket contributions will be honored.
