One of the new realities of our times is that active shooter drills are now part of school curriculum and an important aspect of houses of worship life. Recent events have necessitated concerns. Captain Vernon Thomas of the Derry Police Department will conduct a Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (C.R.A.S.E) Training at Etz Hayim Synagogue in person. The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course is designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy developed by Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT). This training provides strategies, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. This talk is about an hour long, includes time for Questions and Answers, and is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Stephen Soreff, MD at President@Etzhayim.org or call 603-895-6120.
