Etz Hayim Synagogue Religious School Ice Cream Open House
OUR EDUCATION PROGRAM IS FREE!

An Ice Cream Social Open House will be held where students and parents will meet our teachers and review the curriculum. Join us for ice cream and to learn about the following programs:

SUNDAY FAMILY CAMP (Ages 4-6) - Sunday Camp meets one Sunday per month for two hours. Our Sunday Camp Teacher uses a mix of music, crafts and games to introduce students to the Jewish calendar, prayer, Torah and Hebrew.

YOUTH EDUCATION - Our Youth Education program meets weekly for students ages 7 to 18 in grades 2+. Synagogue membership is required for the following programs.

Kitah Aleph (Grade 2) and Kitah Bet (Grade 3): These classes enable students to learn the basics of Hebrew letter recognition and decoding in order to begin to learn to read. Students will also learn about holiday observance, Tzedakah and Jewish living.

Kita Gimel, Dalet, B’Nai Mitzvah and Confirmation (Grades 4 and up): Students start with building Hebrew reading skills, working up to leading prayer for our older students, as well as learning Jewish ethics, history and Judaica. Liturgical and Judaic knowledge and skills in preparation for becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
