L'Dough v'Dough January 2025
Jewish Federation of New Hampshire and the Cohen Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies present L'Dough v'Dough - a community storytelling and bread making event.
In this program, Holocaust survivors (and others with a personal connection to the Holocaust) are seated at tables with community mdembers to share personal stories while braiding challah bread together. The name for this event is a play on the Hebrew phrase "l'dor v'dor," which means "from generation to generation." Thus, L'Dough V'Dough programs are meant to cultivate deep relationships and forms of remembrance across generations.
L’Dough V’Dough will be a fully in-person event with limited seating capacity. All participants will braid a small loaf of challah to bring home and bake at the end of the event. Additionally, a light meal of soup and bread is included as part of the event.
