Kindergarten/Grade 1 Teacher — We Need YOU!
Do you love working with young children and bringing Judaism to life through stories, songs, creativity, and hands-on learning?
The Jewish Learning Collective of Manchester (JLCM), a joint religious school of Temple Adath Yeshurun and Temple Israel, is looking for an enthusiastic and caring teacher for our Kindergarten/Grade 1 class.
When: Sundays, 9:30 AM–12:30 PM
School Year: September–May
Our youngest students are beginning to build their Jewish foundation. You’ll help them discover the joy of Jewish holidays and Shabbat, explore Torah stories and our biblical ancestors, learn Hebrew letters and vocabulary, and experience Jewish values such as g’milut chasadim (acts of loving kindness) and tzedakah (giving).
You’ll also introduce foundational ideas such as the Shema, b’tzelem Elohim (being created in God’s image), and talking with God—all in age-appropriate, engaging ways.
We provide:
• A curriculum guide and learning map
• Support from our Education Director
• A welcoming, inclusive environment
• Pay commensurate with experience, including some planning time
A college degree is preferred; a B.Ed. or M.Ed. is a bonus. Experience working with young children and/or Jewish education is especially welcome.
