Temple Emanu-El in Haverhill, Massachusetts will be hosting Scout Shabbat on Friday, February 1st, 2019. Scout Shabbat offers an opportunity for Scouts to show their service or duty to God, an integral part of the Scout Oath/Promise, and allows worshipers to honor Scouts and Scout Leaders in the community for their achievements and service. This is done as part of the standard Jewish Friday Night Service. In previous years, over 100 Scouts from the area participated in this event and I ask for your assistance in spreading the word. The event is open to all Scouts regardless of religious affiliation. In past years, we've had Scouts from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine & Vermont! There is no charge for this event and all scouts who have pre-registered will receive a commemorative patch. Friday, February 1st, 2019 from 7:00PM-8:30P (Scouts should arrive at 6:45PM). Temple Emanu-El, 514 Main Street (Route 125), Haverhill, Massachusetts (2 minutes south of the NH/MA border just off Route 495, take exit 51).
