This Oscar-winning film is based on the childrens book by Jewish-American artist and writer William Steig. Shrek, an ogre living alone in a swamp, has his solitude shattered by a horde of fairy tale characters, such as the Big Bad Wolf and the Three Little Pigs, all refugees who have been banished from their kingdom by the evil Lord Farquaad. Voices by Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, John Lithgow, Victor Cassel.
