Dr. Kate DeConinck is the Director of the Cohen Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Keene State College (https://www.keene.edu/academics/cchgs/).
Dr. DeConinck will speak to our congregation about The Cohen Center’s sponsored events and its collection of photos, documents, one-of-a-kind artifacts, lesson plans for educators and other media resources.
The Cohen Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies advances the public liberal arts mission of Keene State College to build a world free of antisemitism, intolerance and hate. It hopes to inspire citizens to engage civically and act responsibly while confronting violence that leads to genocide.

Dr. Kate DeConinck joined the Cohen Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies as Director in 2022. She holds a B.A. degree (Religious Studies and English) from Connecticut College as well as a M.T.S. degree (Religion, Ethics, and Politics) and a Th.D. (Religion and Society) from Harvard Divinity School.
