“Vignettes of Jewish Life” will recount Mimi and Sam’s travel adventures to Jewish sites around the world, some as organized or self-guided tours and some that were just serendipitous findings such as eating a Kosher burger at McDonalds in Buenos Aires. Since 2009 their travels have taken them to such exotic locations as Cuba, India, Azores, Argentina, Bulgaria, and Romania to name just a few.

Mimi and Sam will also explain their process of learning about Jewish sites both before and while they are traveling. Their presentation will include many memories and personal pictures taken during their trips to uncover Synagogues, Cemeteries, and other remnants of both previous and current Jewish life abroad.

Our kitchen crew will be preparing a sumptuous feast of scrambled eggs, bagels, lox, and whitefish salad with veggies, fruit, orange juice, milk, coffee, and water.  The cost for breakfast is $10 for all members in good standing and any of those members  guests that may accompany them. The cost for breakfast for non-members will be $18.  New members will be able to join on the spot should they desire to take advantage of the breakfast discount.  Membership is available for a suggested donation of $3
